Chelsea

This is me, Chelsea! Other than blogging, I work full time for a large PR firm in Washington D.C. I graduated from the University of Maryland in May, 2011, with a degree in Communications/PR and I have been happily working for my PR firm ever since. I have to say that compared to most people my age, I love my job and enjoy going to work every day. I work with a great group of people and I like the clients that I work with. It has always been my dream to work at a large PR firm and I feel so lucky to have accomplished my goal.

Other than work, you should probably know that I live with my boyfriend and my dog in Arlington, Virginia. We live right outside of D.C. and enjoy Arlington very much. It’s a very young and busy community so we are constantly walking around to go to the dog park, grocery shopping, or just to pop in some shops. We both have good friends who live a couple of blocks away and we enjoy meeting up with them for weekly barbeques and happy hours.

My family also lives nearby in Maryland, which is just on the other side of D.C. I get to see them every few weeks and have the luxury of getting free meals and the occasional grocery trip out of them . We will usually meet somewhere for dinner half-way, but I also love going to their house on the weekends. I’m extremely close with my family so I’m so lucky that I get to see them as often as I do.

Anyway, that’s a brief background about me so now let me introduce you to…

Fabio

This is my boyfriend, Fabio. We met in the fall of 2008 when I needed some help with my economics homework. Fabio lived with his friends in the dorm next to mine and one day I realized I had econ homework due and had no clue how to do it. I walked next door to ask Fabio for help and we became really great friends. After a few months we realized we liked each other more than friends and eventually we started spending more time together. We never really had the “will you be my girlfriend talk,” but after a few months of we just sort of realized we were together.

We have been dating ever since and have been through a lot. Fabio has been there to support me through good times and bad and I don’t know where I’d be without him. He is definitely my best friend and we talk about everything. We have a very easy-going relationship (at least most of the time; I don’t think anyone is perfect) and we are very happy together!

Jack

This is my dog, Jack! He is about one and a half years old and is a black lab mix. Fabio and I rescued him from a shelter in New York. He is such a little bundle of joy and he makes me happy every day. We make sure to run with him every morning and take him to the dog park near us after work. Although he gets plenty of exercise, it breaks my heart to leave him home during the day while we are at work. I know he doesn’t mind, but one day I’d like to work from home so I can be with him. He is such a sweet heart and I love him so much! You can definitely expect to see lots of pictures of this buddy here on the blog.
