What I Ate Wednesdays

Each Wednesday I post a collection of everything I’ve eaten the day before as part of Jenn’s What I Ate Wednesday blogger link up. This has quickly become a favorite tradition of mine because I love being able to spot trends in what I am eating so I can stop any bad habits before they start.

I used to track everything I ate using calorie counting apps, weight watchers, and even my own crude spreadsheets. I always eventually got tired of entering every tiny thing into a cumbersome program, so I stopped counting altogether. Now I keep an eye out on what I’m eating, but sometimes it can be easy to slip up.

What I Ate Wednesday provides me with a weekly opportunity to make sure I’m staying on track with my eating habits. If I realize I am eating too many carbs and not enough veggies, I can easily fix it. If I see that I am not getting enough dairy in my diet, I can fix that too. It provides me with a simple solution to watching what I eat without forcing me to spend too much time counting numbers. Plus, I get to join a blogger link up with hundreds of other bloggers around the world, which is pretty awesome in my book.
